If this is you're first visit, start here. The initial visit is designed to assess your overall health, understand your concerns, and determine an appropriate treatment plan. Here's what you can generally expect during your first appointment: You'll complete digital intake forms detailing your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and any injuries or conditions. Dr. Kimmel will review your health history with you and ask questions about your symptoms to get a deeper understanding of what is going on. Dr. Kimmel will then take you through a series of specific neurological, orthopedic, and functional tests which are used to assess nerve function, muscle strength, reflexes, posture, and range of motion to pinpoint the source of your symptoms. She will check areas of your spine or other joints to detect abnormalities, tenderness, or restricted movement. If X-rays or other imaging tests are needed then they may be ordered to get a clearer picture of your spine or joints. Dr. Kimmel will explain the assessment of your condition, identifying the root cause of your symptoms. She will propose a treatment plan tailored to your needs, which may include chiropractic adjustments, craniosacral therapy, NAET, stretches, or lifestyle recommendations. Depending on your condition and consent, you may get treated during the first visit. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about your diagnosis, the proposed treatment plan, and what to expect from care. An initial visit usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.

A typical chiropractic visit involves check-in and a brief discussion about your progress since the last visit, including any changes in symptoms, new concerns, or improvements. It is suggested you provide updates on how you're feeling and whether you've followed any recommendations, such as stretches or lifestyle changes. A quick assessment will be performed to evaluate your posture, range of motion, or any specific areas of tension or discomfort. You will then be adjusted to realign the spine or other joints. Soft tissue work may be included to reduce tension and improve mobility. After your adjustment you’ll be provided with guidance on exercises, posture corrections, or lifestyle habits to support your progress. We will finally discuss how you're responding to care and any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Sessions typically last 10–20 minutes, depending on the complexity of the treatment.

A typical craniosacral therapy visit is gentle, relaxing, and highly focused on assessing and improving the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and the function of the craniosacral system. Here's what you can expect during a session: Upon arrival you will be asked about changes or improvements since the last session. Dr. Kimmel will then assess the craniosacral rhythm and areas of restriction or imbalance. Treatment involves applying delicate manipulations to release tension and restore balance in the craniosacral system. Dr. Kimmel may work on specific areas like the skull, sacrum, or along the spine or address other areas of the body to support overall alignment and energy flow. You may feel warmth, tingling, or subtle shifts during the session. After your session Dr. Kimmel may share insights from the session and provide recommendations for follow-up care or self-care practices. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes, though this can vary depending on your needs.

NAET

A typical NAET session focuses on identifying and desensitizing allergies or sensitivities. It combines principles from acupuncture, chiropractic, nutrition, and kinesiology. Here’s what to expect during a session: You’ll discuss any changes in symptoms or reactions since your last treatment. Dr. Kimmel will then use muscle response testing to indicate sensitivities. Here’s what to expect during a session: You’ll discuss any changes in symptoms or reactions since your last treatment. Dr. Kimmel will then use muscle response testing to indicate sensitivities. Once an allergen is identified, Dr. Kimmel will stimulate specific acupoints along your spine and body using acupressure to rebalance energy flow. The goal is to "reprogram" your body to no longer react negatively to the substance. You will be provided with post-treatment instructions which include avoiding the treated substance for 24–25 hours to allow your body to adjust. Depending on your symptoms and the number of sensitivities, additional sessions may be recommended. Each session typically lasts 30–60 minutes.
